“And I am concerned that those in the media and elsewhere who are trying to cynically exploit the aftermath of the bombings to witch-hunt and attack legitimate mainstream Muslims in this country on issues like the Middle East are only helping the terrorists.”
You might be a bit opinionated, daft and inconsistent, but hey, so am I. And when you say things like this Ken, you make me smile.

Yeah I tend to agree, Ken’s a man after my own heart. And I admire his balls of steel (?).
But what does he mean by “legitimate mainstream Muslims” as opposed to illigitimate obscure Muslims?
Is he referring to ordinary Muslim women being taunted on the street for example, or the attacks on Iqbal Sacranie and Inayat Bumbaklart-wala who in my opinion cannot be attacked enough!!

I lose no opportunity to support Ken, I hope he is mayor forever. Well, until the congestion zone comes to my road.
“Legit mainstream Muslims” sounds a bit New Labour to be fair. And if there is a bloke called Inayat Bumbaklart-wala I would support him on principle.

Bollocks to the swearing. Somebody made a comment on my own blog months ago suggesting, in all seriousness, that I use words like poop instead of crap. Bollocks to them as well.
Swearing, as with any other form of expression, has its place and it is an integral part of the British language.
If people don’t like it well they can always check out the BBC or CNN. They don’t swear but unfortunately their censorship and sanitisation extends slightly beyond the language they use
