I’ve become very tired of writing sketchy and fruitless diatribes on fathomless politicians. There are others who do this with more precision, insight and cogency than I have the energy or even ability to muster. My anger at mistakes is not constructive and my ranting at Bushler, Bliar and Shaton doesn’t alter the facts that all politicians through the ages have had to do evil things. The fact that this Unholy Trinity seem to have made a career out of power-grabbing, hypocrisy, world-fucking, theft, butchery and other Satanic handiwork is by-the-by.
So I’m moving back to writing about what I know. I don’t know anything about politics. If you’re expecting informed political comment, try Xymphora, Another Day in the Empire, Minority Report and others. If you’re looking for irreverent and rude style, but with more brains than I will ever boast, try Famous for 15 Megapixels, Postman Patel and MangoWala’s excellent blog, whose name I’ve unfortunately forgotten. If you look through the comments in my blog, you’ll find the link. Finally, if you want an uncanny level of satire that punctures the blown-up lives of the hypocritical elite with wit and insight, you need to be visiting the Olive Ream. You will find links to all of these blogs on the right somewhere.
If you’re looking for my style of writing, but related to matters I (think I) know a little about, then stick with me. I might surprise myself, and in the process, make your stay a little more interesting than it has been for a while.
Thanks for reading.

Shahid, I think you ought to still comment on politics and world events. Your posts have been insightful and logical and are appreciated for their ‘bugger-all’ approach which is so desperately needed these days. Your words are unique as is your commentary and you are able to voice your opinion far more articulately (and with the right amount of profanity) than most. So stick to it lad, because you’ve got an audience.

Thanks mate.
I will add your blog to my main post, it deserves its own place in the list!
Let’s see how it goes. I’ve just found that my anger sometimes overcomes my ability to express. Sometimes the anger is replaced by an overwhelming feeling of deflation at just how ridiculous things seem. This has hampered my output somewhat.

I’ll second that first comment. How can anyone separate their personal life and thoughts from what’s going on around us right now. It’s in our faces and affecting our daily lives. I’d agree that the likes of Xymphora and Postman Patel offer more insight. That’s what their blogs are about, but the ‘politicisation’ of more personal blogs is a reflection of our times and is valid.
I’ve had similar thoughts to yourself about what to put in my blog but, f*ck it, if that’s what you’re thinking about put it in. That’s what it’s supposed to be all about isn’t it?

Shahid, thanks for the namecheck.
Please don’t stop posting your political opinions. If anything its because of your political stuff that I started updating my own blog, in spite of having a thousand other more important things to do.
There are a lot of blogs (and of course, commentators) written by people whom I strongly wish would get run over by a 10-ton truck. Since in most cases they fail to meet that sorry end, the next best thing would be to write a blog from the contrary viewpoint. During the last few months, you have been a refreshing voice, please keep it up.

Its the voice that counts. Don’t let it fade away.
Recent events has exhausted the entire blogsphere - but that doesn’t mean it was all for nought. And you can see from your feedback that it does get through.
Fruitless diatribes? I didn’t look at the Germans pulling down the Berlin wall brick by brick and think “their anger has overcome their ability to use JCBs”.
Looking forward to more.
