From The Guardian today:
The US military said today that strikes by US warplanes and helicopters on two villages west of Baghdad had killed 70 militants, while witnesses claimed there were many civilians among the dead.
The strikes took place yesterday in the Ramadi area - a stronghold for Sunni insurgents - in response to a roadside bomb that killed five US soldiers in a vehicle in the nearby village of Al-Bu Ubaid on Saturday.
This is the speciality of Israel. Their philosophy is simple. “You kill one soldier, we kill ten civilians. You kill two civilians, we kill two militants and their entire entourage, including women and children, and anyone else in the viciinity”.
I’m just happy that much of the media are using the term “insurgent” and not “terrorist”. I would prefer it if they were to use the more accurate term “resistance”. I would also appreciate it if Palestinians who kill Israeli soldiers were differentiated from those who blow up Israeli citizens. The latter are terrorists for sure. The former are legitimate resistance.
Exactly a month ago today, the Israeli justice ministry said that nobody would be charged over the killing of 13 Israeli Arabs shot in riots against official discrimination five years ago. It said there was insufficient evidence to charge the police officers involved including commanders who allegedely ordered snipers to use live ammo against stone-throwing youths, even though an official inquiry said the killings were unjustified
Question: Would the Israelis have ordered the use of live ammo against Jewish protesters?

Their philosophies are screwed up, but to create and maintain a judo- Christian Zion, they must destroy any and all opposition. A Zionist belief -”kill your enemy before he kills you”. - makes you think, where will the super powers of ‘this time’ end up after all their preemptive strikes

The Palestinian situation is not as simple as you all make it out to be, though I agree the situation is not perfect, the analysis should also be balanced.
Which are the only Arabs in the middle east have a right to vote? Israel, 25 of the population of Israel is Palestian, so is 20% of it’s parliment.
As far as I know, NO Arab country offer Palistian’s equel citizenship or legal rights. This does not mean discrimation does not happen. My point is why do not people speak up for the Palestinian’s in Jordon, who actually have less rights?
Before the uprising, there was very little tension between the Israeli Jews and the Israeli Palestinians, unfortunetely when people feel threatened, they are also paranoid, look at the recent events in the UK as an example.

To the most recent comment I can only say you are absolutely right.
It’s not as if Arabs look on Palestinians as equals. Kuwaitis treat Palestinians very badly indeed, and I know they are not well regarded by other Arab nations.
I don’t believe for a minute that anyone is claiming that the Palestinian situation is simple. Far from it!
Furthermore, in previous posts, I have made it clear that Israeli citizens are just as worthy of life as Palestinians. My concern is with the overwhelming and often, pre-emptive use of force by Israelis which is not just counter-productive in the region, but has far-reaching consequences when adopted by the USA and the UK.
