Where’s the Evidence, Liar?

by shahid on November 14, 2006

Dear Mr. Blair,

Please excuse the formality. My rage against your brazen lies and self-aggrandising, preening arrogance, your demonisation of Islam and your deference and obsequiousness towards your god, President Bush, has led me in the past to address you as “Bliar”, or more prosaically on occasion as “cunt”; so it might surprise you to find me addresing you more formally on this occasion. The situation demands it, even if my opinion of you is as low as it has ever been.

Sir, would you please stop feeding the country you were partially elected to serve garbage, lies and drivel – and would you please, finally release the evidence that you have surrounding the events of July 7th, 2005?

As you know, any inquiry would be utterly useless, as since the Inquiries Act of 2005, you have the presidential fiat to over-ride, over-rule and exclude any line of enquiry. So I and hundreds of thousands like me, if not millions, do not presume that a Public Inquiry would be any less a whitewash than the others surrounding say, Dr. David Kelly and such-like.

You see, if the men you and the media upgraded, without trial from “suspects” to de facto “suicide-murderers” really did commit the crimes of 2005 that you state with impunity that they did, then you have nothing to lose, or to hide, by showing us the evidence. Do you?

You see, it would give us, the demonised, the victimised and the marginalised Muslims some closure. We could then embrace what happened, learn from it, help the rest of our countrymen and women, drive out the spooks and plants and faux-converts – I mean – “extremist elements/traitors within the ranks” of course – and we could all be one happy country again. Right now, we are not happy at all. We are quietly going along with your lies in order to lend cohesion to society, but in our heart of hearts, we recognise liars and you, Mr. Blair, are the greatest liar this country has ever had the misfortune of being “led’ by.

We have every right to be pissed Mr. President. We are pissed because when the IRA conducted its mainland campaigns, with the later recognised involvement of MI5, there was no “Christian Terrorism” or “Catholic Terrorism” campaign in the media, was there? Why do you think that was? I have an idea, but I won’t share it with you just yet Mr. President.

So; if the suspects are still suspects and you are no longer convinced that they were the only possible suspects, and that other lines of enquiry and indeed, blame, can be pursued, then you owe it to the 20% of vote-eligible in my country, Britain, who made you President, to tell us, so that we can again, work together to support you in finding out who attacked us and move on.

You don’t understand Mr. Blair. If it really was just four lads from Beeston, then that’s horrible, but Muslims can deal with it and help you. You’ll forgive us though, for our skepticism when you lock us up for fuck-all and you turn this society into a shit-scared bunch of racists and liberal-intelligentsia-cop-outs, buying every war-mongering, scare-mongering, hate-mongering piece of concocted drivel that you and your shameless accomplices summarily push out without thought or concern on such a regular basis.

On the other hand, if you’re hiding something, like the possibility of right-wing nutters having helped you orchestrate the events of 7/7, or a genuine Al-Qaeda operative, i.e. an employee of MI5, SIS, CIA, WTF, or something else entirely, then you will be found out. And we will not forgive. And we will not forget. You gave a man 40 years for thought-crime, but the BNP found with the largest chemical haul ever discovered, a masterplan and a nuclear/biological suit, for the love of God, didn’t make the headlines. Do you think we don’t notice? I mean, a bio-suit is not the kind of thing you pick up down at Asda, Mr. Blair, is it?

In the meantime Mr. Blair, I know you are trying to demonise us, jail us, hurt us and sometimes, like Dr. Kelly, even kill us. There are people who are onto you and your games. If you had nothing to lose by releasing the evidence, and everything to gain, like the total support and trust of the Muslims in this country who you are trying so hard to push away, then you must understand something. You cannot kill an idea Mr. Blair. We will push for the truth. And we will get it.

Frankly, I’m not sure if the otherwise patient and tolerant British (remember, Muslims are British too) will put up with your lies much longer. According to the records, 56 people died on July 7th 2005. It was a horrible day in the lives of those who lost loved ones, and those who loved London. I should remind you however, that the fear and hatred that threatens to divide and hurt this country is out of all proportion to what happened. 56 died. Tragic. But stop playing on the fear of innocent people Mr. Blair. Stop it.

Over 10 times as many people die every single year from drink driving related accidents. Why isn’t there a War on Alcohol? Why aren’t you demonising drinkers? Why aren’t you rounding up people at pubs and arbitrarily arresting anyone with car keys? Or to parallel a recent fluid case-that-never-could-have-been, those who don’t even have a license to drive, a car, or the means to get hold of one, but those who have merely talked about a recent drink-driving advert, or might have watched an episode of The Sopranos in which Tony Soprano has a quick snort from a hip-flask whilst driving.

That’s right Tony, ever year, over 10 times as many people die from drink-driving accidents. The victims are innocent, aren’t they? Perhaps you should watch out for the training camps, the madrassas where candidates are radicalised. They’re called pubs Tony. You might have heard of them. I am ten times more likely to be killed by a drunk driver than by terrorism. That’s a statistic I’ve weighted heavily in your favour.

I don’t see the media campaign against drink-driving. I don’t see you speaking up against it. I don’t see the arrests. I don’t see the pub raids, the public shaming of innocents, the hatred, the beatings of drunks, the torching of pubs. Why not Tony? You see, Hiroshima was an atrocity. The Holocaust was an atrocity. What is happening in Darfur, in Palestine, in Lebanon, in Chechnya, in Iraq – that is an atrocity. What happened in London was a victory for falsehood, a shame on the security services who now say there are loads of terrorists they’re keeping tabs on and tragic day for London. Let’s keep some sense of perspective.

We Muslims, we British, are ready for the truth. We haven’t seen any evidence at all that the attacks of 7/7 were committed by Muslims. We have seen a lot of lies. We have had sand in the eyes. We have been intimidated. We have been ridiculed and we have been spied upon. Yet we are ready for the truth. Include us Mr. Blair. Include us and don’t demonise us. If it was those lads, we deplore their actions, as much as we deplore your lies to kill in Iraq. If it wasn’t, we, the tolerant British people, will fucking tear you to pieces.

Terrorism – and it usually has the state’s hand in it somewhere (you remember MI5 infiltrating, egging on and initiating explosions on behalf of IRA, don’t you Tony?) can only win if we live in fear. We refuse to live in fear. We refuse to give up our liberty to you or any terrorist. We demand justice and we demand the truth.

So before you go, do the right thing. Release the Evidence.
