My MDA Vario II, to its immense credit, has got a lot going for it. Before I bought it (and as you say Stef, it wasn't cheap), I had planned on going for the simplest phone possible. I'm not quite sure why I gave in to my baser instincts. When it works, it is pretty neat. Email on it is very good with the T-Mobile web'n'walk unlimited monthly plan. Basic browsing is tolerable and I can even access my bank account on it. I read your blog on it from time to time and it's great for SMS, but the camera is average and the most important thing, the phone itself, is so-so. It's the first phone I've had in a while that I'm in no rush to upgrade and it's still fairly good a year on which nowadays, is a bleedin' miracle! Being a Macophile, I'd go for the iphone, but it just isn't ready yet. Nobody, and I mean nobody (with a nod to iPhone) has got an all-in-one device of any description working well enough.
