Not knowing the reasons that prompted this post, and while I will respect any decision you come to about whether to keep the always excellent Suspect Paki blog going, I must just say that it will be a great shame and a considerable loss to the world of blogging if your ongoing years of wit, wisdom and insight were to disappear and, worse yet, to cease continuing to appear.
I, and without doubt many others too, sincerely hope that you decide to keep the blog going.

I, too, think it would be a shame. I don’t read many blogs, but yours is one of the few I’ve bothered with because of your lack of pretension or affectation and your absorbing writing style. It’s more than just words on a screen somehow. I hope you will continue to write.

It really knocked me for six when I read this post, but I will respect your decision since I know you are a very very wise person, and I hope everything is going fine with you.
If you?ll decide to close down this wonderful blog ? God forbid ? some readers may waste their time trying to find an alternative, but for me it would be the end of the blogs story.

Shahid, I don’t read other people’s Blogs but I have read your pages sporadically over the past 10 months or so - there always seemed to be some worthwhile words or observations.
Increasingly however, your more recent posts appear to have been slightly “rant” prone (an observation, not a criticism). This worries me because I too am prone to more-than-the-occasional “rant” and am only too aware of the effect this has on my overall well-being.
Like the other commentators above, I can only guess at the reasoning behind your intention to suspend (or worse) your site. I sincerely hope that your health is not cheating you of your platform and that your hbA1c is behaving itself.

Steve is actually not too far from the truth. I hate ranting now. It seems so pointless and I know I can write better than that. I’ve been thinking lately that my best posts are behind me and if I keep thinking like that, I will jack it in unless I think I can do my blog justice. My health is not cheating me, thankfully I am spending more time on my health now - and consequently less time blogging. I cannot afford to let my blood pressure rise and I would like to get back to the more honest and less overtly “ranting” style posts one day. I am capable of both ranting and observation, but have been inclined more to the former.
There is of course, more to it than that, but in any case, I’ll be making a decision by the end of April.
Thanks for reading and do check back at the end of the month.

I, personally, have learned a lot from this blog and it would be a shame if it were to shut down. In the end its up to you but if it were a vote i’d vote No to closing down this informative, helpful and brilliant blog.
