Here, finally, is the audio from my talk at the Morden Islamic Centre last Saturday. There is an introductory piece by Mr. Nasim, one of the Centre’s Committee members. I start talking about 8 minutes in.
It’s the first time I’ve spoken in public about some of my reasons for reverting to Islam and some of the thinking I went through before my belief in Ahmadiyya finally fractured.
I’ve been asked to speak at other mosques and insha’Allah I will consider these requests. There’s no shortage of projects, alhamdulillah.
The link below takes you to the audio, which is around an hour long. You can right-click it and save it if you wish, it’s licensed under Creative Commons.
I’d like to thank all the brothers at Morden Islamic Centre for making this possible and for giving us such a warm reception and also for going out of their way to drop us off home again. Jazakallah khayr.
I’d love to have your feedback insha’Allah. (All abusive messages or threats will just be ignored.)

as-salaam ‘alaykum wa rahmat Allahi wa baraktahu,
First off, Jazak Allahu Khayr for uploading the talk. I listened to it now for the second time. Here are my thoughts:
1) It really humbled me when you said “Arguing with them is pointless because they are brainwashed”. In the past I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve debated Ahmadis and they will be completely without words, but will just start to say nonsense things or simply change the topic. (I earlier wrote about my frustration with them constantly changing the topic.)
2) Your politeness and gentleness was striking. I’ll try to take from that, in sha Allah
3) I wish you had finished the entire thing!!!
My only criticism is that I would have made it more structured by presenting an outline in the beginning, follow that outline of your gradual changes, and concluded with what you believe we Muslims could do for the Ahmadis. (ie, steps we could take)
Dear Shahid,
Thanks for uploading this. Very frank, open and clear talk given on this important issue.
I have one point that I must mention that Mirza Ghulam qadiani even tempered with the Arabic vesrses of holy Quran and changed them. These changes are recorded in their older editions of Mirza’s books which they had to correct later as Quranic verses cannot be changed.
He even changed the Arabic of one of the Hadith and that is still there. I have written about change in Quranic vesrses (with scanned images from old books) in one of my threads at ahmedi.org’s forum.
If you need those refernces, please let me know.
Great talk you gave there. It was witty, but relevant. The audience seemed horrified when you made that comment about the Tsunami earthquake etc.. I can imagine the entire room being gripped by your words. One point I could suggest is DO NOT CENSOR THIS CULT. You gave the them a sugar coated tale of his words and works. If you ever get the chance, tell them about his disgusting views on Salaat etc…do not hold back. The more harmful exposure, the better.
Very well done.
