Yeah, flip-flop, whatever.
I’ve missed this blog and this blog has missed me. I’ll do the controversial and the personal stuff here and do the fluffy, airy fairy stuff on shahidkamal.com, which nobody wants to read anyway.
If you google my name, you’ll still get this blog appearing at the top. I decided to stop fighting it and admit that the name is more prescient than ever. I’ve also changed the subtitle. It used to read “100% Muslim, 100% Londoner, Deal with it”, which of course was double-edged provocation. I tried to deal with that through this blog, not always successfully. I expected others to deal with it. Some did, most didn’t care either way.
When I decided to stop, I changed it again to “dealt with it”. Well clearly, I hadn’t. Not really. It’s all still there. And it’s more raw than ever for many. Mosques are being firebombed, imams savagely beaten, women with hijabs spat at, thanks to Jack Straw and his ilk, Islamophobia went mainstream and the racists realised it was open season on pakis.
New Labour was crap. Let’s face it. It was awful. They did a lot right, but they were lead by a charismatic egomaniac, obsessed with legacy and the cult of personality. Lots of mass murder followed.
That war criminal was backed by a very clever chancellor with some serious character flaws (a man after my own heart, naturally), plagued with self-doubt, a bottler when he had the chance to win, and awe-inspiring when he couldn’t win.
They got one thing right towards the end. They stuffed the BNP in Barking. They humiliated Griffin, whose platform was hatred, pure and simple. They fractionally atoned for pillocks like Straw, Reid and Blears.
Anyway, I’m back and this time, I’m staying. This return coincides with a return from the wilderness of one of my favourite people and favourite bloggers – over at Famous for 15 Megapixels. Yes, Stef is (kind of) back too.
On a sadder note, a dear friend lost his father recently. My thoughts are with my friend.

Yay!
Great to have you back SP, it’s good news that my favourite bloggers are returning to the fray. We’ll need your voices in the dark, slash & grab, days ahead.
YEEHAW!!!
Welcome back Supect.
As Salaamu ‘Alaikum. Woo hoo, welcome back akhi!
Oh I forget…
Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. May Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala grant your friend’s father the cool breeze and the sweet smells of Jannah while in the grave, may his misdeeds be forgiven, and may his good deeds be rewarded. May the prayers from his children and brethren provide him blessings. This I ask for him and the Muslimeen. May your friend find healing in this sad time.
assalamu’alaykum. blogwalking. : )
Asslamu Alakium – borther Sp – you alwasy hit the anil on the head – i am a moderate ,, well travelled muslim who was fortunate to mix with all races but lately with all the crap from the white government justifying theior excuse for a Muslim holocaust becuase they want to defend their way of life. Way of life, idleness, blame a muslim for anything they cant get, their kids become yobs and huirl abuse – a friend of mine his child was attacked by a scutter who threw a hammer at him – if it was me i would nt have used a peaceful ay to resolve irt.
Seriously, we are Brtish but s hard biting your lip when the word Paki comes out of their ignorant, monosyllabic, mouthsd – I used to see the good in the good ones but even the good ones frustrate me -I live in Smethwick and live with balcks, seikhs and whites and after 7 years of theses people dmaging my property, beating my wife up when she waqs preganant – i wnat to move to a muslim area and never, ever mix with these people – they are not worth bothering with.
An example, we mix wht the kurds and afghans inthe area – white neighbour and his wife call me paki and have damaged my car over 5 uyears – i did the muslim thing by ignmoriong their very presence and it makes me sick to look at them – they have ason, what little self control i have and i dont want to give in the devil inside me who wants to cut his brakes line s to his car – am i sure thatthere are more frustrated brothers like me tired and fed up of being treated likke a Palestinian in his own land.
May Allah give us all more patience and when these peopel finally realise thier wrong doing – they wont say sorry …..
Wa Alaikum Salaam
Frustrated Jinn, Smethwick.
