My iPhone Facebook app sits unused with the badge count increasing daily, though not as quickly and I still haven’t logged into Facebook since the hypocritical, Zionist-loving, Muslim-hating owners allowed the despicable hate-page to remain on their servers,
As many have found, it’s one rule for Zionists and sundry other anti-Muslim groups and another for Muslims. It’s the double standards that were for me and others, possibly the final straw.
I haven’t deleted my account though. I just refuse to log in to it. My Twitter feed goes straight to my Facebook status and I monitor my notifications through email, to which I can respond. That’s how it stays for the foreseeable future. I don’t miss it. I will use the utility, because they already own all of my data in perpetuity anyway, but I will not frequent their advertising-laden pages, I will not read requests, I will not overtly engage in any social activity that is the lifeblood of the service.
Facebook does claim to respect the laws of various countries. Holocaust denial pages are not allowed, worldwide, because the denial of the holocaust is illegal explicitly or implicitly, in 14 countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and many other nations, including of course, Israel. Then again, blaspheming against the Prophet (saw) is also illegal in many countries, including of course, Pakistan, where Facebook was banned as a result of the company’s intransigence and total insensitivity to the feelings of over a billion Muslims. And the reason that Facebook was banned (I believe Pakistan was right to do so), was simple. The page broke the law and was hateful and provocative.
What it boils down to is this. And it’s very simple. The owners of Facebook think it’s OK to form the social networking front in the war against Islam and Muslims, and they will use double standards, hypocrisy and stated aims to fight this war, while their brethren in Israel kill Palestinian children for sport, smear soldier-shit on the walls of children’s schools in Gaza, while American soldiers gangrape and burn teenage Iraqis, while American soldiers sodomise children in front of the mothers who are themselves raped in turn, while Predator drones take out Pakistani family after Pakistani family with frightening precision.
So I will not be visiting Facebook again. You can do what you like Zuckerberg. I will not be your house paki.

You have the right to protest precisely as you point out, the hypocrisy of Facebook owners is blatant. But I question the fact that did you give up McDonalds merely because you disagreed with the American polices [i know im reaching far] – If someone send you an email / spam with those cartoons – then who do you boycott. How long will we run – granted these cartoons are offensive, but merely hiding / banning it is NOT the solution – but I am for voluntary boycott !! –
Will I go through with deletion of my account NO – but I REFUSE to CLICK ON ANY AD – making sure that zero revenue comes from me. If there are ad managers who want to use my visits as impressions, then its up to them –
It must be noted that I use this tool [FB] for a more important aspect, its not fun and games for me, it never has been. I leverage this tool to do social change for Pakistan – do I stop doing it – WHY SHOULD I GIVE UP FOR PAKISTAN. Until I notice a well established community elsewhere – I will use it as I have been since the past 2 years – SOCIAL CHANGE

My advice to the muslims is to engage in “meccan philosophy”. Muslims need to stop fighting! Muslims need to hold the arabs who are filthy rich as responsible for our plight. These arabs are billionares! Anyhow, excuse my rant…muslims need to suck it up for the next 50 years…After 50 then we will meet the jews and the USA and Europe, but not until then. In the meantime arabian and muslim countries need to focus all of their resources on education and research. We shoudl manufacture our own jetliners. Stop buying those C-130′s from the USA!
The jews have done some terrible things in israel as they behaved just as the europeans behaved in the USA and australia. The jews claim that Joshua (as) killed and looted enroute to Israel, this is thier “reason” for pushing the muslims out. MGA and the ahamdis authenticated this story. Muslims know better. I know that this is a fable and has no truth to it whatsoever.
Well written! It was never about free speech or censorship — and very strange that this angle has not been picked on by the media.
This is the revulsion at injustice or lack of fair-play that arises from within and sometimes may not be a rational choice. We humans are very sensitive to injustice – perhaps more than anything else except food.

Shahid, your argument makes perfect sense, but can I suggest another strategy to add to your campaign?
As you rightly pointed out, FB relies on advertising, which means that this is their weakness. Go and visit the anti-muslim page, and jot down the names of the companies advertising there. Also take screenshots.
Remember most of those advertisers did not choose to advertise on that page.
Do some basic research, then e-mail each company (attaching the screen shot) and ask if they are happy to be associated with an anti-muslim page. Suggest that if they’re not happy that THEY contact FB & insist their ads are not shown on that page.
This places commercial pressure on FB. It worked with an anti-cycling page that FB at first refused to take down.

If FB was blatantly hypocritical than they would allow the F**K Islam and associated pages but not the myriad F**K Israel, F**K Christianity, F**K Hinduism, F**K the Jews, F**K Buddhism etc etc. go look there’s tons of them.

Ahmadis are enemy agents. And from the beginning we are in a state of war with our enemies. I feel betrayed by mainstream muslims as they are not putting any serious effort in scientific developments so that muslims can reply with same arms from which they are being killed. no matter how strong and tactful is enemy , allah is supreme and will punish them.
