If you want to read the new post (which is incendiary) and the one before, you’ll need to apply to me for a password. You can reach me at shahid at suspectpaki dot com. I’m afraid I can’t give a password to everyone.
Although I’d love to release this post now, it is so explosive (I really must stop using such words) that it needs to wait for at least a week before it can be seen by the wider public.

Probably the best film on 9/11 I have seen to date.
(Sorry I couldn’t embed it, it moved to Blip.TV and it’s too wide to fit here. I thoroughly recommend that you view this important film at Blip in full-screen mode, don’t bother with the low-res google and youtube versions)
Why is it that the most rabid fascists are the ones who fight for the media, the government and corporations? Listen out for the absolutely filthy work of Fox News, for the radio presenter interviewing McKinney and a couple of people defending the government line as if their children were being violated. It’s quite scary.
Look out also for McKinney’s definition of citizenship and finally, the touching stories of the first responders, especially the shattering line that ends the film.

For those of you on Twitter, you can follow me if you wish.
Although I have a SuspectPaki account, it is dormant, so please search for shahidkamal which is the one I’m using. Expect varied output, but in digestible chunks.
I’ll let you know if I decide to switch to SuspectPaki.

I’m having some issues with the K2 theme I’m currently using. Every time I upgrade my Wordpress installation, the settings get trashed. With the latest WP update to 2.6.1, the plug-in for K2 finally gave up the ghost and I’m now considering moving to a paid-for theme.
Top of the list at the moment is the Thesis theme. Please bear with me as the blog remains ugly for a while.
Talking of ugly, I particularly enjoyed this perfect summary of Ms. C. Rice, for whom I’ve had a few harsh words in the past…

I did say I’d start writing again towards the end of the month. It will take some time before you see anything interesting.

Do notice if you spot any differences in style or tone.
In the meantime, do have a look at my wife’s art at http://www.butterflycanvas.com

After 4 years on Midphase, enough was enough. I’ve moved.
Please bear with me as changes continue to be made.

I have decided after much thought that I am not going to close this site down, or stop blogging after all.
I took a lot into consideration before reaching my decision and am grateful for all the support I had during this time and of course, during the years I have been writing here.
The blog will undergo quite a radical change towards the end of May, more news nearer the time.
Thank you to all who still read this blog.

I am considering closing this site down shortly, for a while at least, if not permanently.I’m not sure if I will retain the archives on-line either. In the meantime, feel free to contact me at shahid@suspectpaki.com?

If you have a couple of minutes and are vaguely interested, feel free to go and read my interview with The Pakistani Spectator.
Be warned, the picture is 5 years and 4 stones ago. My recent cigar/eye patch picture is more faithful to my current appearance.

I’m very surprised to note that I have about 2GB of traffic on a monthly basis. That’s way, way more than I expected, especially given how quiet I have been lately.
I might have to do some digging…
Update: A few hundred megs have been gobbled up by various robots, with Yahoo and Google being the most voracious. A lot of traffic appears to have come from an Oriental site, music.soso.com, where for some reason, people are downloading three of my tunes at the rate of about 500 (total) every month.
The post which got the most hits recently was the one on Ahmadiyya Intellectual Cowardice and of course, lots of racists come searching for my kind from google. Try typing in “paki” in google, hitting enter, and seeing which related search terms it offers. I got the rather distressing “I hate pakis”. Thanks Britain!
